A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support students in grades K-5 at an elementary school in Fairhope, AL. This contract role runs from March 2025 through May 29, 2026, providing 35 hours per week of direct service to young learners within a single school setting. The focus is on delivering comprehensive speech and language therapy to enhance communication skills in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 5th grade
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student progress
Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress in accordance with school policies
Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
Qualifications and Experience
Current Speech Language Pathology license or Educator Certification (one required, not both)
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-5) in a school setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills adaptable to a school environment
Ability to work on-site full time during scheduled hours
