POSITION SPECIFICS Title:

Testing Center Day‑Shift Supervisor

Location:

Pollock Testing Center (PTC), University Park campus

Schedule:

7:15 AM – 4:15 PM (includes a one‑hour unpaid lunch break)

FTE:

83.3%

OVERVIEW OF ROLE The day‑shift supervisor will oversee daily operations in the Testing Center, collaborating with the evening‑shift supervisor to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures. Supervisors work with management to develop and implement e‑Testing and scanning procedures, create and maintain the e‑Testing request process, manage testing schedules, and resolve issues with e‑Testing and scanning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with all staff to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for students, faculty, and other visitors to the Center.

Monitor daily activities and supervise day‑shift staff.

Perform daily functions and train staff in processes and procedures, including troubleshooting and monitoring of the testing lab.

Evaluate performance of day‑shift staff relative to daily expectations, troubleshooting, and unit procedures.

Serve as the primary contact for troubleshooting issues of instructors and students.

Serve as a backup for front‑desk staff when necessary.

Supervise scanning and process scanning requests.

Liaise with IT and other support personnel, including troubleshooting immediate issues, providing feedback and recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS

Location: On‑site at the University Park campus.

Ability to stand for extended periods and periodically walk through the testing room.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Prior experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Experience with exam scheduling systems and bubble sheet scanning.

Experience with faculty and students in higher education.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL

Have strong customer service and communication skills.

Be detail‑oriented.

Have experience with training and supervising staff.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Associate Degree

with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Certifications: None.

SALARY & BENEFITS Salary range: $42,100.00 – $61,000.00. Eligible for benefits associated with any full‑time position, including medical, dental, vision coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and a 75% tuition discount for employees and eligible family members.
