$17.85–$22.00 per hour (Non-Exempt, eligible for overtime) Hours:
40 per week, typical shift 12:00 pm–9:30 pm
Missions & Duties
Prepares products for service to customers.
Prepares and cooks dishes and accompaniments according to computerized production recipes/reports.
Performs display/cook‑to‑order food preparation as directed.
Prepares menu items for assigned catered functions.
Creatively garnishes serving lines, buffets, and serving plates to create attractive presentations.
Uses equipment such as grills, meat slicer, food chopper, steam equipment, fryers, ovens, calculator and scales.
Prepares food to meet all meal deadlines and maintains highest quality and freshness using progressive cooking techniques.
Responds to customer questions and concerns appropriately and accurately.
Interacts positively with customers when display cooking and in service areas.
Works with the preparation and disposal of fish, poultry, beef, lamb, pork and other meat products.
Follows proper sanitation techniques: uses thermometers, records temperatures, cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment, stores food properly, adheres to safety and sanitation policies.
Completes required food production paperwork: checks food supplies, assists with recipe standardization, assists with inventory.
Supervises part‑time and student employees: provides instruction, has strong communication/interpersonal/organizational skills, requires knowledge of food production and large‑quantity service, basic math skills for reports, self‑motivation, optimistic attitude, high integrity, strong work ethic.
Can move 45–50 lb and stand 3–4 h on feet.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience with computers and software programs.
Progressive supervisory experience with all age groups.
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years experience in large‑volume food production and with catered events.
One year experience in short‑order grill production and/or display cooking.
NRA Serv Safe Certification.
