Responsibilities The incumbent is responsible for multiple environmental health programs in Hendry and Glades Counties. The role requires technical knowledge and discretion to conduct routine inspections of migrant labor housing facilities, mobile home, lodging, recreational vehicle parks, recreational camps, public swimming pools, and related facilities. Responsibilities include completing inspection forms, submitting reports, informing owners of violations, performing re‑inspections, implementing compliance rules, maintaining equipment and vehicle, participating in in‑service training, and performing other duties within environmental health scope.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
AHA certification in CPR
Valid Florida driver license
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Basic computer skills, knowledge of Environmental Health Database Program, field equipment, GPS Unit, water testing equipment
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, work under minimal supervision, schedule flexibility for emergency duty
