Mission To protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county, and community efforts.
Responsibilities This is a responsible environmental health position that conducts activities for programs in the Environmental Public Health (EPH) department.
Conduct inspections, reviews, and/or investigations based on state and local code for public swimming pools and bathing places.
Complete activities related to water sampling and testing, including beach water, special projects, and drinking water.
Conduct inspections, reviews, and/or investigations based on state and local code for additional environmental public health programs as requested.
Provide support to the EPH front desk as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of basic mathematics.
Knowledge of general office proceedings.
Skilled in basic computer usage.
Skilled in time management.
Skilled in organizing work.
Ability to bend, stoop, lift 50 pounds.
Ability to operate technical equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to read site and floor plans.
Ability to work outdoors in all conditions.
Qualifications High school diploma. Valid Florida driver’s license.
