Position: Offensive Assistant Football Coach/Quarterbacks

Lane College, NCAA Division II, located in Jackson, Tennessee invites applicants for the position of Offensive Assistant Football Coach/Quarterbacks. This is a full-time position reporting to the Head Football Coach and Director of Athletics. Lane College is a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
Responsibilities
Conducts all aspects of the program within the rules, regulations, and procedures encompassed in the NCAA, the athletic conference, College, and athletic department policies and procedures manual, with an understanding that failure to do so may lead to sanctions up to and including termination.
Utilization and understanding of the NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletic programs.
Works closely with the Offensive Coordinator and also with the Head Football Coach in recruiting student athletes and submits their academic records for admission.
Develops the offensive game strategies for students.
Demonstrates game techniques and recommends player position assignments.
Cooperates in the pre- and post-workouts.
Assists in the designation and recruitment of scholarship athletes.
Plans and schedule coaching sessions according to established standards.
Understands each player’s strengths and weakness and accordingly train players individually or in groups.
Maintains skill development programs for offensive players.
Supervises the purchase of equipment, uniforms, and supplies based on assigned budget.
Coordinates with Business Office in recruiting and team traveling activities.
Coordinates maintenance and repair works for athletic equipment.
Promotes athletic programs through community events, fundraising, public speaking and marketing.
Supervises academic progress of each player and implements necessary action plans.
Maintains discipline and conduct standards for players.
Recruiting and retaining student-athletes.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required):
Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5 years related experience
Coaching experience, preferably on the NCAA collegiate level.
Must have the ability to walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time and be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
Overnight travel at a minimum of 50% of the time.
