Summer Camp Teacher for STEM / Technology Camps
We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individuals to serve as Lead Instructors in our Summer programs. Overview
Summer seasonal position (4–10 weeks) starting in June. In‑room with kids ages 6–11 or 8–14. Paid training. No formal experience required. Spend the summer having fun with technology! Responsibilities
Lead a class of up to 12 kids solo and up to 25 kids with an assistant in a classroom setting. Manage and safely transfer equipment between sites as needed for various classes. Deliver engaging technology‑focused instruction (Minecraft, video game creation, robotics, 3D modeling, coding, animation, etc.). 21 years of age or older. College graduate with a degree in education, digital arts, computer science, information technology, or related fields, or significant relevant work experience. Experience working with children in formal or informal settings is preferred but not required. Strong technology skills preferred (3D modeling, coding, game creation, robotics, animation, video editing, digital arts, Roblox or Minecraft, competitive gaming). Must be authorized to work in the United States. Work sponsorship or accommodations are not offered. Must be available to work a minimum of 4 weeks, Monday through Friday. Compensation & Benefits
Rate: $19/hr – $25/hr depending on experience, location, and availability. Potential opportunities to move into supervisory roles in future years. Employee discounts available for select camps run by Black Rocket. We begin recruiting for summer in January and positions are filled on a rolling basis.
