In the role of Real Estate Services Agent I, we'll count on you to:
Provide pre-negotiation project, parcel and property owner due diligence and non-complex negotiations for acquisitionof rights relative to public or private projects as assigned
Review appraisals andresearch comparable properties, prepare Market Analysis and Waiver Valuations following the Federal and State guidelines as applicable
Verify ownershipand theextent of interests; prepare offer packages; and maintain complete and detailed records/files with owner contacts, agency representatives, project team
Prepare non-survey qualitymaps,drawings, exhibits and detailed progress reports to provide to owners and clients to aid in the Agent’s negotiations
Communicate effectively with internal and external clients
Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills
Experience with federal, state and local agencies, private industry and landowners to facilitate theacquisition of necessary right of way for public projects
Knowledgeable
in title research and utility acquisition practices for permanent and temporaryeasements
Be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experienced with relational databases and agreement documentation
Conduct research and navigate the Internet
Read, review and quality check engineering project plansand legal descriptions
Draftvarious types of real estate documents, such as but not limited to deeds, easements, leases, and purchase agreements
Be available for travel (in state and out of state) as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Real estate license in good standing, or equivalent, as required by law
Database and GIS familiarity
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 1 year of experience in real estate or 120 hours of documented real estate training
Ability to understand and work in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations specific to the real estate and right-of-way industry, such as the Uniform Act, FERC and NEPA
Proficient with standard technology tools such as Microsoft Office and Project
Strong communication skills, basic understanding of negotiation and presentation skills, and ability to work flexible hours and effectively with people of all types
Ability to work confidently with clients, property owners and occupants
Effectively balance office and field work in a collaborative and deadline-sensitive manner
Ability to communicate effectively
Availability to work flexible hours and coordinate closely with management
