Responsibilities
Design, execute, and document molecular biology and biochemical experiments to support discovery programs
Prepare DNA, RNA, protein, and other biochemical reagents using established protocols
Perform molecular biology techniques including PCR, molecular cloning, IVT, and cell‑free protein synthesis
Analyze samples using SDS‑PAGE, capillary electrophoresis, plate‑based assays, and related analytical methods
Perform NGS library preparation and sequencing to support screening and characterization efforts
Maintain laboratory instruments, consumables, and reagent inventories
Draft, review, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Document experimental results in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) and present findings internally
Collaborate cross‑functionally and contribute to a culture of inclusion, accountability, and scientific rigor
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific field
Experience
2–4 years of academic or industry research experience in molecular biology or protein science
Hands‑on experience with PCR, molecular cloning, and cell‑free protein synthesis
Experience with protein expression and purification
Experience with analytical techniques such as SDS‑PAGE and capillary electrophoresis
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional Information Preferred Skills
Experience with Python and/or liquid handling automation
Experience with DNA library construction and next‑generation sequencing (NGS)
Experience with binding protein characterization
Location: Cambridge, MA (onsite, lab‑based role)
