Full Time DSP at Residential Program in Leonardtown, MD
Job Summary: Bay-CSS is looking for a compassionate Full Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Residential Program in Leonardtown, MD. The DSP will provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities during Thursday & Friday night shifts from 10pm to 8am, as well as on Saturdays with doubles from 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 8am. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $21/hr. with a $2 shift differential on weekends.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; certifications or training in developmental disabilities a plus
Previous experience in a residential setting with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Effective communication skills and ability to assist with personal care needs
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and car insurance required
Physical ability to lift at least 50lbs.
Ability to complete all required training within the specified timeframe
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities during specified shifts
Aid individuals with daily tasks like meal preparation, medication assistance, personal hygiene, and household chores
Implement personalized care plans and behavior support strategies
Encourage community integration and engagement in social activities
Maintain accurate records of services provided and individual progress
Collaborate with team members, families, and external providers to ensure consistent care
Adhere to organization policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure individual safety and well-being
