Responsibilities
Assist the Assistant Vitamin/HBA Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Vitamin/HBA team
Effectively coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
Assist in leading a brainstorming team that delivers the finest quality of product and the best customer experience
Ensure customers receive the best possible service and assistance with vitamins, supplements, and health and beauty products
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of department items and provide guidance without “prescribing”
Assist in recruiting, hiring, developing, mentoring, and motivating the Vitamin team
Unload and sort through store deliveries
Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and that other team members are aware of and follow these procedures
Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Qualifications
18 years or older with at least one year of vitamin, homeopathy, or holistic experience and leadership duties or equivalent education and experience
Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Outgoing, friendly, with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
Good communication skills and ability to give and take direction while maintaining a team environment
General housekeeping responsibilities: clean and dust
Adherence to safety, health, and Weights & Measures regulations
Willing to gain education on new products and alternative health
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb throughout an entire workday; lift, stack, and manoeuvre heavy objects up to 50 lbs over a distance of up to 2 feet without mechanical assistance
Ability to use a ladder to access product with a force up to 5 lbs for up to 2 hours, distance up to 25 feet
Ability to manoeuvre a utility cart holding 20 lbs requiring a force up to 35 lbs for up to 2 hours, distance up to 20 feet
Walk a total up to 3 miles per 8‑hour shift
Perform other related duties as assigned
