Job Description The Master Electrician performs high voltage electrical installation in addition to other electrical duties, maintenance and repair work at CMI’s customer site located in Kearneysville, WV.

Key Job Functions

Receives assignments verbally and by work order and will determine the safest best methods to accomplish assignments.

Responsible for electrical preventive maintenance

Testing and repair of the electrical systems

Installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment;

Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.

Qualifications

High School Diploma

Minimum of 4 years as a master electrician (within the past 7 years)

Must be a licensed Master Electrician

Must be certified on MGE UPS

Experience in the field of inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, operating and performing preventive maintenance on complex electrical power distribution systems.

Knowledge of operations of rotary uninterruptible power source (RUPS) and static uninterruptible power sources (SUPS) and associated generators and paralleling switchgear.

Ability to effectively verbally communicate
