Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining operational condition of Podzilla equipment at all Storage Centers within a designated territory, ensuring all preventative maintenance and documentation is completed using Work Orders. Provides support for forklift preventative maintenance, structural welding repairs, and training as qualified. Maintains a safe and clean working environment for the assigned territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on the patented hydraulic lift system (Podzilla), including engine troubleshooting, 12V electrical diagnostics, and light tack welding, metal grinding, and cutting as required.
Complete and maintain records on repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance in the Work Order System and provide updates to management.
Perform structural repairs on flatbed trucks or Podzillas if certified.
Train new technicians as a certified PODS Train the Trainer.
Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts if qualified.
Order parts from internal and external sources as needed.
Maintain all PODS-owned repair tools and diagnostic equipment.
Provide training to drivers on proper use of the lift system to reduce unnecessary repairs.
Travel between storage centers within the assigned territory as required.
Repair damaged containers to PODS standards and perform limited carpentry work (less than 20% of time).
Job Qualifications
3-5 years of engine repair experience (forklift, hydraulic systems, vehicle maintenance, small engine repair).
Qualification as a PODS Trainer for Podzilla repairs.
Forklift repair experience (4+ years) or Certified Forklift Technician (CFT) certificate.
ASE automotive certification accepted.
Current valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Light/medium carpentry skills.
Prior supervisory or team leader experience; warehouse experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
