Patient Service Navigator
The Patient Service Navigator works in conjunction with the providers and clinic staff to take care of the clinic and patients' referral and administrative needs.
Responsibilities
Manage/schedule referral appointments for patients at the time of visit for specialists, therapy and diagnostic testing.
Provide follow‑up to patients for referral appointments.
Answer multiple phone lines.
Process phone calls, mail, emails and fax requests from patients, providers, other departments/clinics, external organizations.
Conduct appropriate follow‑up with patients via phone or mail.
Communicate applicable messages to clinic staff.
Register and schedule patients for appointments maximizing the provider's schedule.
Verify insurance coverage and obtain appropriate insurance referrals and authorizations.
Check in/out patients.
Enter and update patient data into system programs accurately.
Collect, process, and record payments.
Provide accurate and complete information to the billing office.
Requirements
High School or Equivalent (GED)
1 year of related experience
Possess a pleasant and professional attitude and appearance.
Demonstrate exceptional customer service behavior.
Display excellent face‑to‑face, telephone, and written communication skills.
Have comprehensive keyboard skills and computer knowledge.
Demonstrate proficiency in multi‑tasking, time management, organization, attention to detail, quality, independent problem‑solving, and critical thinking.
Flexible with work schedule, reliable, and a team player.
Salary Range $17.00 to $26.00/hr (based on experience)
