The General Maintenance Technician I performs basic service and repair work in plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, interior finishes, and appliance maintenance. This role requires knowledge of safety procedures and industry standards, along with familiarity with common maintenance practices and processes. The technician must be able to identify basic maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs. This position works as part of a team and completes tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Assist guests and staff in the resolution of unit maintenance concerns, complaints, and questions Assist preventative maintenance team in the preparation of the property for guests Perform general maintenance duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor Maintain accurate records of units serviced and work performed EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent in work experience or vocational training 3–5 years of handyman/general maintenance experience preferred CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATIONS Must have a valid driver’s license QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license, and minimum of 1 year of driving experience Must meet company required motor vehicle policy standards Must have the ability to learn how to perform skilled work in general maintenance Must have the ability to problem-solve and perform basic repairs Must have knowledge of hand and power tools and a mechanical aptitude Ability to provide excellent customer service Must be able to follow written instruction and complete documentation associated with unit maintenance the use of company works order software Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.For further information, please review the Know Your Rights notice from the Department of Labor.
