The General Maintenance Technician performs basic services and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, interior finishes, and appliance servicing. The role requires at least 6 months to 1 year of experience and familiarity with standard maintenance concepts, safety measures, and industry/company standards.
Essential Duties and Tasks
Work in a team environment to complete inspections, repairs, and preparation of guest units.
Assist preventative maintenance team in preparing the property for guests.
Perform general maintenance duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
Maintain accurate records of units serviced and work performed.
Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by Engineering Leaders.
Qualifications
At least 6 months to 1 year of building maintenance or construction experience.
Preferred experience in resort and/or hotel maintenance.
Bilingual language skills are a plus.
Proficiency in painting, tile, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
Knowledge of telephone and TV troubleshooting for signal.
Capability to problem-solve and repair major appliances.
Knowledge of hand and power tools and mechanical aptitude.
Strong troubleshooting and face-to-face guest communication skills.
Ability to follow written instructions and complete documentation associated with unit maintenance.
Must meet company‑required motor vehicle policy standards.
At least 18 years old with a valid U.S. driver’s license and minimum one year of driving experience.
