Job Summary The Mini Bar Assistant Manager assists with overall activities of the Mini Bar operation as well as In Room Dining and Hospitality events. This leader assists in leading the team to deliver remarkable guest and team member experiences. Critical to possess diverse knowledge of Food and Beverage operations and be willing to dive into day-to-day operations while balancing and managing long-term department goals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day operation of the department in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Establish and administer training programs, including new employee orientation.
Direct development and administration of controls for all phases of the outlet in an economical and profitable manner while maintaining established standards.
Coordinate maintenance and development methods for high‑quality preparation of food; assist in maintenance and development of procedures for food service; present menu items for maximum customer service satisfaction.
Maintain an efficient scheduling program to ensure high standard of food preparation and service with minimum man‑hours.
Instruct assigned personnel regarding safety policies and procedures; follow up to ensure hazards eliminated.
Monitor appearance of all foods and communicate deviations from standard to senior food‑prep supervisor.
Act immediately on all customer complaints to ensure corrections are made when possible.
Compile annual budget, variance reports, weekly management reports, inventory and other reports as required.
Monitor work of employees to ensure established policies and procedures are followed.
Oversee all follow‑up work to ensure non‑recurrence of errors.
Provide counsel, guidance, and instruction to assigned personnel in proper performance of duties.
Prepare and coordinate periodical performance reviews of assigned personnel.
Recommend changes including hiring, promotion, demotion and release of personnel; recommend wage and salary adjustments within guidelines.
Interview potential employees who have been recommended by Personnel.
What You Will Need
Effective written and verbal communication in English.
Minimum Associate’s Degree, preferably in hotel and/or restaurant management.
Two‑year Culinary Arts School or equivalent technical training may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel or Restaurant Management.
Professional appearance.
Ability to compile, compute, and analyze data for reports.
Bilingual abilities preferred.
Flexibility to work various shifts.
Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, Windows.
Additional Requirements
21+ years of age.
Nevada Health Card.
Alcohol Card.
