ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs preventive maintenance, including minor repairs, adjusting/modifying dies, and the use of matrix whennecessary.
Uses pre-make-ready tables.
Nicks and prepares dies.
Levels the cutting by using different thickness spotting tapes.
Performs quality checks, approvals, and in process inspections.
Prepares loads, loads material, and removes loads of material from the machine.
Trains assistants.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrates knowledge of size and location when beginning the nicking process.
Demonstrates ability to recognize common packaging defects (cracking, sharpness, heavy scores, line-up, tearing, flat scores, one-sided scores, light cutting, loose fibers, pressure marks, etc.).
Experience running board stock and paper on flatbed die cutters.
Demonstrates ability to use rulers, calipers, micrometers and other inspection equipment.
Must have basic personal computer skills including experience with e-mail and word processing.
Must be able to meet the minimum requirement on a mechanical test.
Must be able to maintain good attendance.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
Must pass color vision and color hue test.
Must pass basic reading test.
Must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
