Job Opening Status In-progress Legal Stage Yet to Start City Marietta State/Province Georgia 30062 Job Description
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, subpoenas, discovery requests, responses, correspondence and other legal documents. Prepare for depositions, including compilation of deposition exhibits and witness materials. Prepare for trials, including compilation and organization of trial exhibits, preparation of trial exhibit lists and witness notebooks. Coordinate trial logistics. Assist with document productions, including review for privilege, bates stamping, redaction and preparation of privilege logs. Assist in all facets of document case management. Conducts legal research using online media for experts, background searches, and case investigation. Communicates with clients, witnesses, experts. Other duties as assigned
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Paralegal Certificate preferred Minimum of 7 years of paralegal experience Or, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience SPECIAIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Federal and State court experience with in-depth knowledge of Georgia court rules and procedures, and the skills to find and understand those in other jurisdictions Research, analytical, and organizational skills required. Requires critical thinking skills, superior communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook and knowledge and application of legal research tools (Westlaw). Experience with e-discovery database software is preferred but not required. Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
