Job Title: Litigation Paralegal Location: Los Angeles County (multiple openings)
Job Type: Full‑Time
Base Pay Range $100,000.00/yr – $135,000.00/yr
Job Summary The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys by managing case files, conducting legal research, and assisting in all phases of the litigation process. This role requires a detail‑oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a comprehensive understanding of legal procedures and court rules.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management:
Organize and maintain case files, including pleadings, correspondence, discovery documents, and trial materials.
Legal Research:
Conduct thorough legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and legal articles to support litigation efforts.
Document Preparation:
Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as motions, pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests, and deposition summaries.
Discovery:
Assist in the preparation and management of discovery processes, including the collection, review, and production of documents.
Client Interaction:
Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and third parties, ensuring clear and professional communication.
Court Filings:
Prepare and file legal documents with courts, both electronically and in person, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
Trial Preparation:
Assist in the preparation for trials, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witness schedules, and preparing trial binders and other necessary materials.
Administrative Support:
Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field. Paralegal certification is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a strong understanding of the litigation process.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar platforms.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal court rules and procedures.
Office environment with occasional requirements to attend court proceedings or off‑site locations.
May require extended hours to meet deadlines, especially during trial preparation.
