Job Overview Under the direction of the Radiologist or Cardiologist and the Manager of Cardiac Cath/Special Procedures, the technician is responsible for the operation of highly technical state-of-the-art radiographic equipment and is accountable for patient outcomes in cardiac cath/special procedures, including radiation safety practices in procedure rooms.
Job Requirements
Associate's Degree in Allied Health
Successfully passed the Hemodynamic test
EKG competency preferred
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or CVT/CVIT or Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS)
BLS/CPR
Unrestricted license from ODH if ARRT
Understanding of aseptic technique
3-4 years of experience in a related field
Job Responsibilities
Proficiently perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures and their associated equipment through CEUs.
Provide ongoing evaluation, documentation, and care of patients and families.
Demonstrate proficiency, competency, and knowledge in diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures and associated equipment through CEUs.
Maintain accurate records through completion of all paperwork.
Demonstrate organizational responsibility.
