Job Description The Ohio Department of Taxation is seeking multiple Tax Examiner Associates.

What You’ll do as a Tax Examiner Associate:

Serve as the "front line" for customer service by taking phone calls, responding to emails and live chats, and face‑to‑face interaction in our Welcome Center.

Educate taxpayers by responding to written and verbal questions, attending outreach events, and helping create instructional materials.

Learn all aspects of the taxes administered by Taxation (such as income tax, business tax, or employer withholding).

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Undergraduate core program in business related field or public administration which included 2 courses in accounting; 3 months experience in customer service. Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Supplemental Information The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check.
