The Ohio Department of Taxation is looking for Tax Examiner Associates.
As a Tax Examiner Associate (TEA), you will:
•Play a crucial role in assisting, educating, and providing system assistance to taxpayers through working correspondence via email, letters, and telephone.
•Be given the opportunity to learn about and become an expert in the various taxes assessed by the State of Ohio.
•Undergo comprehensive training on a wide array of tax types such as individual income, school district withholding taxes, and business taxes.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Tax Examiner Associate, you should document on your online application the following:
Undergraduate core program in a business-related field or public administration Two (2) courses in accounting (please attach a copy of your academic transcript to your online application) Three (3) months' experience in customer service OR equivalent qualifications for employment noted above

Additional Information
Unless required by legislation or union contract, the selected candidate will begin at Pay Grade 29, Step 1 of the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule, with an opportunity for a pay increase after 6 months of satisfactory performance.
