The Position:
Our Special Education teachers play a vital role in planning, organizing, and delivering specialized instructional programs in a special education elementary or secondary learning environment, guiding and encouraging students to develop and fulfill their academic/ behavioral potential. Teachers work under the general supervision of the Principal and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Pay Range:
$70,304 - $76,000 annually

Qualifications:
Experience working with students with learning, emotional, and behavioral disabilities, autism spectrum, speech and communication disorders preferred
Preferred: Prior teaching experience in a non-public school special education setting
Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and other office-related software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
General administrative and clerical abilities
Must pass a pre-employment physical examination, tuberculosis (TB) test, and drug screening
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and implement engaging daily lessons aligned with the approved curriculum
Conduct pre- and post-testing using standardized teacher-developed tests for each student
As part of the team, develop, implement, and present IEPs in collaboration with students, parents, and other educators
Manage classroom behavior in a respectful, structured, and trauma-informed manner
Maintain accurate and timely records, progress reports, and documentation as required
Demonstrate competency in all subject areas and schedule the classroom day to include instruction in all curriculum areas
Actively participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Meetings
Collaborate with the team to develop and implement effective instructional strategies
Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure student success
Supervise Instructional Aides assigned to the classroom
Actively participate in the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan
Must maintain an active teaching credential, license, or permit
Use of a personal cell phone for work-related communication when agency radios and phones are not easily accessible
Ability to transfer classrooms as needed
Maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries at all times
Represent the agency in a professional, respectful manner when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Complete all onboarding requirements within the designated time frame and remain in compliance with agency expectations for timely review and acknowledgment of policies, procedures, and trainings
Perform all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
