Job Overview Fairview is looking for a Security Officer to join our team at our Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN. The Security Officer provides for the safety and security of patients, visitors and staff and property by responding to needs of hospital patients, visitors and staff, offering assistance and providing excellent customer service standards. Proactively works to prevent theft and vandalism. May be involved in high risk situations with exposure to potentially dangerous situations which requires range of safety precautions.

Position Details

0.8 FTE (64 hours per pay period)

day/evening/night

every other weekend

Required Qualifications

Associate Degree and one year security or law enforcement or military experience or

Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field or

2 years security or law enforcement or military experience

Pass pre-assignment training within probationary period.

Drivers License Valid Class D Driver’s License and DMV record which meets Fairview Insurability requirements for assignments that require the operation of a motor vehicle

Preferred Qualifications

2 years Hospital Security Experience

Certified Peace Officer (POST)

Emergency Med Tech Basic (EMT-B)
