Purpose
The Treasury Technician is responsible for performing a variety of functions such as processing the company cash receipts in an accurate and timely manner to maximize the corporate cash position, thereby supporting the goals of the Treasury department. The role also involves researching, analyzing and resolving issues related to cash receipts, provider, premium and vendor payments.
Essential Functions
Identifying and posting of daily incoming cash receipts to ensure they are accurately posted to the correct accounts.
Log and prepare checks for mailing to the bank for processing and deposit.
Responsible for researching, voiding and reissuing payments for providers, vendors, members and groups, using internal and external systems while adhering to all SOPs and controls.
Provides support for audit inquiries and maintains documentation of information released to auditors, daily reporting of daily cash receipts, member and group NSFs, unapplied premiums and tracking of provider garnishments and processing payments to creditors.
Sort and distribute departmental mail.
Qualifications Education Level: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: 3 years accounts payable, accounts receivable or treasury related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices in financial markets, banking and reporting of financial data.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Proficient in database user interface and query software.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence.
Salary Range $36,216 - $66,396

This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business considerations.
