Purpose The Treasury Technician performs a variety of functions such as processing company cash receipts in an accurate and timely manner to maximize the corporate cash position and supporting the goals of the Treasury department. The role also involves researching, analyzing, and resolving issues related to cash receipts, provider, premium, and vendor payments.
Essential Functions
Identify and post daily incoming cash receipts to ensure accurate posting to correct accounts.
Log and prepare checks for mailing to the bank for processing and deposit.
Research, void, and reissue payments for providers, vendors, members, and groups, using internal and external systems while adhering to SOPs and controls.
Provide support for audit inquiries and maintain documentation of information released to auditors, daily reporting of cash receipts, member and group NSFs, unapplied premiums, and processing payments to creditors.
Sort and distribute departmental mail.
Qualifications Education Level:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
3 years in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or treasury-related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices in financial markets, banking, and reporting of financial data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Proficiency in database user interface and query software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, delivering positive service and handling challenging situations.
Salary Range $36,216 – $66,396
