Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time Nights - 7p-7a - rotating weekend and holidays

Department Highlight: Our Orthopedic unit is a cohesive team environment that improves the quality of care for patients with joint replacement but may include ortho procedures with a variety of concurrent medical issues. This is the dept where the most effective improvements of patients are seen.

Here's what you need:

Nursing Diploma required or

Associate's Degree Nursing required

BSN (preferred)

1 Year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting required

RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required)

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And

CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req And

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Pref And

ONC - Orthopedic Nurse Certified Upon Hire Pref

What you will do: Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

assesses the patient

plans the care of the patient

intervenes as appropriate

evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
