Job Description Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for Special Knowledge/Skills
Must have knowledge of assigned curriculum; knowledge of instructional methods
Must have lesson planning skills
Must have lesson presentation skills
Must have conflict resolution skills
Must have classroom management skills
Must have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Technology skills preferred
Work Conditions
Must be able to monitor and observe student behavior
Must be able to attend after school and nighttime activities occasionally
Must maintain emotional control in all situations
Must exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
Be able to bend, stoop, and reach fully above head
Possess adequate visual and hearing capabilities
Good mental health to perform all job requirements
Be average or better in energy, health, and vitality
Possess high mental capability
Regular attendance is an essential function
