Overview Gulph Mills Golf Club is an exclusive, private golf club located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania with a variety of amenities available to our 368 members and their guests. Originally designed by Donald Ross, this course has been touched by many great architects like Perry Maxwell, Robert Trent Jones and, most recently, Gil Hanse. 14,000 rounds are played per year, and the club has an active caddie program.

Tom Gilbert is entering his 23rd season as the Head Golf Professional at Gulph Mills. He was the Philadelphia PGA Bill Strausbaugh Award recipient in 2017 and the 2016 Merchandiser of the Year. Tom has mentored and placed 8 of his former assistants into their own head golf professional positions at reputable clubs. This position will grant the successful candidate an opportunity to become well versed in all key areas of the business while advancing their career as a PGA Golf Professional. This is a seasonal position with the busy season beginning in the middle of April and spanning through the end of October.

Experience Required

PGA Member or PGA Associate in good standing (preferred)

High golf IQ and knowledgeable of the USGA Rules of Golf

Strong teaching ability and passion for player development

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a private club environment

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and club events

Experience with private club operations and golf management software (preferred)

Essential Responsibilities

Be highly visible and engaging to the members and guests and enthusiastically promote golf at the club

Assist with the daily operation of the golf shop, including merchandising, inventory control, POS systems, and tee sheet management

Support the organization and execution of club tournaments, leagues and member events

Provide private lessons, group instruction, and clinics in alignment with the club's instructional philosophy

Assist Junior Golf Coordinator with our 8-week Operation 36 program in the Spring and Fall, and our two junior golf camps in July and August

Assist with buying and merchandising of a $700,000+ golf shop

Enforce club policies, rules of golf, and pace‑of‑play standards in a professional manner

Assist membership with tee time reservations utilizing Foretees and event registration utilizing Golf Genius tournament software
