$21.00 – $23.33 per hour Schedule:

On-site, Center/Clinic-Based

Role Summary Under the direction and supervision of a Supervisor or Manager, the Caregiver I provides compassionate, hands‑on personal care services to patients receiving home‑based and/or center‑based care. This role is essential in supporting patient dignity, safety, comfort, and independence while delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with individualized care plans.

Caregiver I team members play a meaningful role in enhancing patients’ daily lives and providing dependable support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care and escort assistance according to individual care plans: grooming, dressing, peri‑care, bathing, and toileting.

Housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and feeding.

Observe, document, and report changes in patient condition to the care team promptly and professionally.

Follow safe care practices, including proper body mechanics, universal precautions, and maintaining a safe environment.

Interact respectfully and professionally with patients, families, and care team members.

Encourage patient engagement through conversation and appropriate activities.

Accurately complete routine and repetitive care tasks.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Work Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience working with elderly or frail populations.

No certification required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Flexibility to work in multiple care environments (home‑based and center‑based).

Compassionate, dependable, and patient‑focused with a positive attitude.

Strong interpersonal and basic communication skills.

Basic conversational English required (testing may be required).

Ability to document care activities using basic written English (paper or electronic forms).

Ability to translate or interpret basic information for supervisors, patients, or caregivers when required.

Bilingual skills may be required based on patient population needs (language testing may be required).

Must be at least 18 years of age if working in a licensed adult day program.

Desired Qualifications

Experience mentoring or training peers.

Experience working in both home care and center‑based care settings.
