Job Description Miller's is proud to provide training for those interested in a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant free of charge.
Responsibilities • Classroom Instruction: Complete 36-40 hours of classroom work and pass all tests with a minimum score of 80% (up to 3 attempts). Failure to pass will result in exclusion from clinicals.
• Clinical Practicum: Complete 75 hours of supervised practicum in a long‑term care facility, including 16 hours with the class instructor. Absence during this period may result in removal from the program. Students will work with a preceptor to develop organization and time‑management skills. All skills must be demonstrated and signed off by the clinical instructor or other licensed nursing professional. Completed checklists (RCP) and daily sign‑in records with licensed supervisor signatures must be submitted.
• Additional Requirements: Pass a criminal background check, TB test, and physical prior to starting. Attendance to all classroom sessions is mandatory. Unsatisfactory performance or attendance may lead to dismissal. Students should confirm dress code with the facility.
• Certification: Upon successful completion, students receive a certificate and a scheduled test date. If hired and in good standing as an employee, Miller’s will pay for the test up to two times. Non‑employees receive a certificate and must schedule and pay for the test themselves.
Qualifications
Commitment to attend and complete all required classroom and practicum hours.
Ability to pass assessments with 80% or higher.
Pass criminal background check, TB test, and physical examination.
Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
