Certified Dental Assistant

Adecco Medical & Science is assisting a local client in their search to hire a Certified Dental Assistant in Newark, NJ. Type: Full time Shift: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, (35 hour work week, 1 hour lunch break) The anticipated wage for this position is between $25/hr. - 30/hr.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Seat patients, adjusts chairs and drapes patients with protective covers.
  • Sets up each unit with proper supplies and instruments needed by postgraduate students during daily patient treatment.
  • Performs Four-handed assisting with doctor during examination and treatment of patients.
  • Operates suction equipment.
  • Mixes endodontic and restorative materials.
  • Maintains all dental instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of clinic and dispensary area following OSHA regulations.
  • Utilizes digital radiographic equipment to obtain images.
  • Cleans and prepares instruments for sterilization. Restocks endodontic kits with proper instruments and materials.
  • Assists supervisor in ordering and maintaining clinical supplies.
  • Understands and adheres to client's compliance standards as they appear in client's corporate compliance policy, code of conduct and conflict of interest policy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education AND/OR Experience required:

  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant Program
  • Certification as a Dental Assistant in the state of NJ
  • Valid dental radiologic technology license issued by NJ Department of Environmental Protection
  • CPR certified
