An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in stepdown or progressive care nursing at a well-equipped healthcare facility near Blue Springs, MO. This contract role focuses on providing excellent patient care in a high-acuity environment, ideal for RNs with experience in progressive care units (PCU). Location: The position is based close to Blue Springs, Missouri, in a community known for its friendly atmosphere and access to major amenities. The surrounding area offers a mix of suburban comfort with proximity to outdoor recreational activities and vibrant local dining and shopping options. Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a progressive care setting Monitor and manage patients requiring high acuity interventions, including drips Operate medical equipment such as arterial lines and devices related to bipap and Airvo therapies Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float to lesser acuity units when needed Work 12-hour night shifts (1845 to 0715), including major holidays as scheduled, with every other weekend off Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required Minimum one year of PCU nursing experience required Preferred experience with high acuity drips, arterial line management, and bipap/Airvo equipment Availability for M-F orientation prior to shift start Nicotine-free facility (compliance required) Job Type: Contract position with bi-weekly pay and structured orientation This facility supports professional growth in a supportive environment with a progressive care focus.
