An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with PCU step-down experience to provide exceptional patient care on night shifts. This contract position is ideal for an experienced RN seeking to apply their skills in a high-acuity setting while working evenings. Location This role is based in Blue Springs, MO, located close to Liberty, offering a community-oriented environment with access to a variety of dining, shopping, and outdoor activities. The area blends suburban comfort with convenient city access, enhancing work-life balance. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to progressive care unit patients Manage high-acuity patients, including those requiring arterial lines and advanced respiratory support such as BiPAP and Airvo Monitor and administer drips for critical care patients Float to a lesser acuity unit when assigned Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Participate in orientation and maintain required certifications Qualifications and Desired Experience Current RN licensure with at least 1 year of PCU or step-down nursing experience Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required Proficiency with high-acuity protocols, including arterial lines and advanced respiratory modalities Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715) and every other weekend Flexible to work major holidays with schedule coordination Schedule/Hours 12-hour night shifts Orientation Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additional Details Nicotine-free workplace Bi-weekly pay Orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable training Contract position with potential shift cancellations requiring minimum notice Candidates who meet these qualifications and can commit to delivering high-quality care in this dynamic setting are encouraged to apply.
