Summary Description: The Logistics Manager is responsible for

Provide leadership in the daily safe operation of the Quinnesec warehouse, Logistics team members, and condition of carrier equipment.

Provide day-to-day leadership of the following logistics-related functions:

Inventory control & management (onsite, offsite)

Management of Quinnesec warehouse

Inventory aging guidance & instruction

Mill warehouse organization

Shipment planning & load tendering

Rail switching, demurrage

Truck spotting

Supplier (i.e., carrier & offsite warehouse) relationships / interface / performance evaluations

Corporate Supply Chain interface – Sales, Planning, Customer Service, Load Center

Develop and manage department budget for traffic & warehousing.

Management of offsite facility Service PO’s.

Performance Management – Coach & develop direct reports to build a strong cohesive team

Metric reporting

Data analysis for business processes

Ensure & facilitate best practices implemented in Logistics functions at mill

Manufacturing Execution System governance (Optivision, SAP, Mercury Gate)

Implementation of corporate projects, as requested. (Atlas, offsite converting, customer service programs, etc.)

Strong communications, interpersonal and organizational skills as well as demonstrated abilities to champion change and influence others at all levels of the organization.

Ability to give encouragement, guidance, and direction to improve safety performance.

Self-starter able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision.

Maintain knowledge of corporate, state, and federal safety rules and regulations.

Physical stamina and agility to conduct on-site inspections of the facility and equipment
