Summary The Director of Finance is responsible for the financial stewardship of the company. Primarily responsible for FP&A activities, they combine operational and strategic concepts, manage accounting and financial control functions, and establish a financial strategy for the profitable long‑term growth of the business. They prepare quarterly and annual reports and financial forecasts for upper management and investors. As a leader of the business the Director of Finance will interact with and report to executive management, shareholders, and the company’s Board of Directors.

Duties and Responsibilities

Daily management of the company’s FP&A and Program Finance functions

Establish and maintain Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process and quarterly forecasts

Assist with ongoing tax, bank, and management reporting requirements

Lead transaction readiness efforts

Perform analysis and recommendations of potential M&A targets

Interact with Private Equity sponsors and present to company’s Board of Directors

Preparation of quarterly project budgets or Estimates at Completion (EACs)

Provide Ad Hoc support to project management and manufacturing

Work with the corporate staff in support of preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and related footnotes

Supervise the percentage of completion accounting for the company

Interact with finance and accounting department of the corporate office in Plano

Ongoing maintenance of corporate rate structure

Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting

Support financial compliance of government contracts and audits

Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Accurate and timely production of all financial information

Oversee audits, tax preparation and accounting duties for the company.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field.

MBA or Certified Public Accountant

Minimum of five years experience managing employees

Project based accounting and manufacturing accounting experience preferred

M&A and Transaction experience preferred

Experience in both the private and public accounting sectors is preferred

GAAP knowledge and financial reporting technical skills

Credibility, ethical, full disclosure, and clean financial history

Experience with IFS & OneStream Applications

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements

This position involves travel up to 50% of the time.
