is seeking a skilled and motivated

Staff Accountant

to support our accounting operations and contribute to the overall success of our business. This position will play a key role in managing core accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activity. The Staff Accountant will help streamline processes within the department and take ownership of assigned responsibilities, serving as a key resource to the Controller and supporting ongoing improvements in financial operations. Key Responsibilities Support the accounting function for monthly financial statement cycle Assist in daily Accounts Receivable functions to include customer management and assistance with daily/monthly processing Assist in daily Accounts Payable functions to include vendor management and vendor payments Posting of daily/monthly entries to the general ledger Assist staff with payroll processing Monthly GL review to assist with the preparation of accurate financial statements Assist with monthly closing and year-end closing Actively participate in implementation of new accounting/ERP system Perform other accounting, financial, and administrative tasks as required Apply principles of accounting in compliance with GAAP Prepare special reports and projects Research and resolve financial issues and discrepancies as they arise and work with Controller on special projects as needed Optimize procedure and the effectiveness of the accounting department Assist Controller with special projects Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience 2-5 years of accounting experience, including general ledger control and account reconciliation Solid understanding of GAAP and strong accounting fundamentals Proficiency in Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications Experience working with ERP systems A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, with a continuous improvement mindset A willingness to grow professionally and adapt to the evolving needs of the organization A passion for leveraging technology to automate and streamline accounting processes The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, take initiative, and lead or support process improvements—particularly through technology Experience with construction accounting preferred Benefits Competitive salary and performance incentives Health, dental, and vision insurance Company paid Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays
