What you will do
The Demand Planner is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts to support supply chain planning and ensure product availability. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to balance customer demand with inventory optimization. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of experience in demand planning within a fast-paced, global supply chain environment. How you will do it
Forecasting & Analysis
Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual demand forecasts using statistical models and market intelligence. Analyze historical sales data, trends, and seasonality to improve forecast accuracy. Monitor forecast performance and implement corrective actions to reduce bias and error.
Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and Supply Planning teams to align demand plans with business objectives. Collaborate with demand planners in other regions to consolidate global demand dependency Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings to present demand insights and recommendations. Support development of forecasts for New Product Introductions in conjunction with NPI processes and gate reviews
Inventory & Supply Chain Support
Ensure demand plans support optimal inventory levels and minimize stock-outs or excess inventory. Provide input for production planning and procurement decisions.
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain demand planning systems and tools (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar). Generate reports and dashboards to communicate forecast accuracy, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders. Use skills to analyze data for outliers and determine best practice for incorporating into forward looking forecasts
Continuous Improvement
Identify process gaps and implement best practices to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency. Stay updated on industry trends, forecasting methodologies, and technology advancements.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or related field. Experience:
5–8 years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in demand planning tools and ERP systems (Logility, SAP (APO), JDE, Kinaxis, etc.). Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification. Experience in a global or multi-site manufacturing environment. Familiarity with statistical forecasting techniques and machine learning models. Performance Metrics
Forecast Accuracy (MAPE, Bias). Inventory Turns and Service Level. Contribution to S&OP effectiveness. HIRING SALARY RANGE
$85,000-107,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
