About the Role As the Product Manager – Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), you will be responsible for driving the growth, positioning, and long‑term success of the VFD and power quality product portfolio. This role blends technical expertise, market strategy, and leadership, allowing you to translate industry trends and customer needs into actionable product and go‑to‑market strategies. You will work cross‑functionally with sales, applications engineering, marketing, and global teams to address technical selling challenges, define product roadmaps, and support operational and commercial success. This position offers strong visibility and clear pathways into senior and global leadership roles.
Must-Have Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in the industrial automation industry
Strong customer‑facing and technical selling skills
Hands‑on technical experience in factory automation and process control environments
Deep knowledge of motor control and VFD technology, including:
Variable speed control and control loops
Power filtering and conditioning
Industrial motor control applications
Direct experience working with or supporting VFD products from manufacturers such as: ABB, Siemens, Rockwell, Yaskawa, Danfoss, Omron, Mitsubishi, Schneider Electric, Nidec, Lenze, Invertek, Delta
Ability to travel 20–30%
US Citizen or Green Card holder (no visa sponsorship)
Nice-to-Have Experience
Knowledge of UL, CE, TUV, and industrial safety standards
Familiarity with industrial networks such as EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFINET, and similar protocols
Key Responsibilities
Own and execute the product strategy and roadmap for VFD and power quality solutions
Lead market analysis, competitive positioning, and pricing strategies
Support and guide technical sales and applications teams
Act as the technical and commercial voice of the customer
Drive product launches, training, and value propositions
Collaborate with global teams to align product development with market demand

Smart energy infrastructure (utility and residential)
Microgrids for data centers
Advanced manufacturing automation

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $90,000 – $145,000
Bonus: 10–15% annual target
