The City of Roseville is seeking a motivated and creative individual to join the 4‑time National Gold Medal finalist Parks, Recreation and Libraries’ Department on the Park Development team. The ideal candidate may hold a landscape architecture license, thrive in performing a variety of projects, and is a proactive problem‑solver. This candidate should be people focused, able to work independently, agile in a fast‑paced environment, and enjoy collaboration and teamwork.

$6,742.09 – $9,938.57 Monthly (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities

Plan, design, and build new parks and park facilities.

Manage park and facility major rehabilitation projects.

Perform plan reviews for city‑wide and private development.

Oversee construction of street landscapes and related infrastructure.

Collaborate with team members in a fast‑paced, independent manner.

Qualifications

Valid California driver’s license by date of appointment.

Preferred: Landscape Architect license issued by the State of California.

Preferred: Project Management certificate.

Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, park planning, construction or project management, public administration, business administration, engineering, or a related field.

No professional experience required for Project Manager I; two years of professional experience performing duties similar to Park Development Project Manager I or two years of responsible landscape architecture experience under a licensed architect for Project Manager II.

Selection Process All candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will have their application scored in a Formula Rate Examination. The applicant’s experience and education will be evaluated using a pre‑determined formula. Supplemental questions will be utilized by the department hiring authority to make interview and selection determinations. Final appointment is contingent upon a check of past employment references, passing a City‑paid fingerprint check, and depending on the position applied for, a pre‑employment medical exam, drug and alcohol screening test, credit check, license and/or education verification, psychological examination, and/or an extensive Police Department background check process.
