Job Description The Department of OB/GYN at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine seeks a highly qualified academic generalist to join the Division of Specialists in General OB/GYN. This position combines patient care with teaching, research, service, and administrative responsibilities in an environment that supports career growth and leadership opportunities.
Responsibilities
Provide general Obstetrics and Gynecology care, including ambulatory care, deliveries, surgery, and comprehensive maternal care. Co‑manage patient care with MFM faculty.
Report to a Chair or other appropriate higher‑level administrator at a State university and be responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities.
Engage in academic advising and represent the university, college/school, or department when appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
For Associate or Full Professor, normally have produced creative work and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Must have completed Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology with an interest in teaching and patient care. Must have or be eligible for a Florida Medical License.
Positive factors include an excellent record of clinical care, several years of teaching/supervising experience, demonstrated leadership skills, great communication skills, and the ability to work in a team‑based environment. New OBGYN graduates with academic career interests will also be considered.
