What does a Licensed Therapist II for the Clinical Adult Outpatient Program do? As a Full-Time Licensed Therapist II within the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board's Clinical Adult Outpatient Program, you will join ACOS, a leader in providing comprehensive Outpatient Mental Health Services. Our professional team comprises licensed therapists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, board-certified psychiatrists, gerontologists, and peer support specialists, all dedicated to supporting individuals through the complexities of mental health challenges and everyday stressors. In this role, you will manage a caseload of managed care clients dealing with mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. Your responsibilities include conducting assessment evaluations for incoming clients and delivering ongoing therapy. Engage in decision-making and apply complex theoretical approaches to individual, group, and family therapy sessions, ensuring sensitivity to diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and cultural values throughout the therapeutic process.

Qualifications

LPC, LCSW, or LMFT licensed professional

Two (2) years of clinical experience, including therapeutic counseling, crisis intervention, and case management functions.

Must be eligible or approved for MCO credentialing
