Key Responsibilities
Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Process payroll for manufacturing employees and related tax filings.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with costing of goods manufactured.
Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and assist with year-end close procedures.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Understanding of cost accounting principles, including inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Experience using ERP systems or industry-specific accounting software common in manufacturing.
Ability to prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
Prior bookkeeping experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) common in manufacturing environments.
Basic understanding of cost accounting principles, including COGS and inventory valuation.
Familiarity with inventory management and reconciliation processes.
Knowledge of fixed asset depreciation methods for manufacturing equipment.
