New York Red Bulls
Red Bull New York is one of 30 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS) and a ten‑character club founded in 1996. The New York Red Bulls Academy Medical and Performance department is a high performing multi‑disciplinary group of practitioners who strive for the highest level of practice every day. This part‑time role will join us in the pursuit of excellence in the areas of rehab, reconditioning and return to play.
Responsibilities
Provide on‑field medical coverage during academy training sessions and matches as assigned.
Assist with the assessment of new injuries on the field of play and in the treatment room.
Initiate communication chain of initial findings to athletic trainers and physical therapists, and when appropriate communicate findings to coaching staff, fitness staff and team physician.
Assist in the creation and execution of short, medium and long‑term rehabilitation plans for players as assigned.
Assist in the development and delivery of individualized injury reduction measures within the academy setting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Athletic Training
NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer
Strong communication skills
Experience with evaluation and treatment of lower extremity injury
Flexible schedule for both weekday and weekend coverage
Ability to regularly lift up to 75 lbs and perform general athletic training duties
Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, you may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.
Hourly Rate: $21.55 per hour.
