Job Title: Design EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in product design to create detailed drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. You will also be responsible for generating Bills of Materials in Excel for the procurement of job materials, reviewing design documents, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Produce detailed product design drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Create Bills of Materials in Excel for ordering all necessary job materials.
Review drawings, contracts, and proposals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Generate full-size templates from AutoCAD files for shop floor use to verify bend configurations.
Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks.
Experience in project management, managing 5-10 projects at a time.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to piping and tubes.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Power Industry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technical Drafting Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience with milling machines, sheet metal, and laser cutting.
Work Environment The position is based in a manufacturing shop with approximately 10% travel required to client sites for measurements. You will work within a stable company in the power boiler industry, where you will be integral in maintaining and advancing the design process.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Lyman, SC.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65000.00 – $75000.00/yr.
