Central Regional Hospital is currently recruiting for a Licensed Mental Health Professional. The primary purpose of this position is to provide group therapy for adult patients primarily, as well as to children and adolescent patients, if needed. This position reports directly to the PST Psychology/SW/Creative Arts Supervisor to ensure that the treatment components are clinically sound, evidence based and meet hospital and departmental clinical objectives and standards. This position may also be required to supervise social work students and/or volunteers performing work or service during group treatments and will be required to be in direct observation of these students/volunteers during these activities. This position will participate in specialized activities to enhance patients’ well-being and treatment. This position may function as a liaison to a patient care unit, participate in treatment team planning, and complete patient enrollment in preferred groups. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities / Management Preferences
Salary Range: $50,633 - $88,607 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Considerable knowledge of assessment and counseling/therapy principles and their practical application to complex casework, group-work, crisis intervention, and community issues Considerable knowledge of group dynamics and a range of intervention techniques, governmental and private organizations, and resources in the community, laws, regulations and policies which govern the program Ability to establish rapport with patients in applying techniques or assessing psychosocial behavior and psychological aspects of patient’s problems Ability to evaluate and screen patients for appropriate treatment and develop clear goal-oriented treatment plans and document progress of patients Must demonstrate basic knowledge of trauma informed care as well as psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, attention deficit disorders, psychotic disorder, depression personality disorder, substance abuse, schizoaffective disorder, and conduct disorders Conditional Requirements
This position is trained in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) therapeutic self-protective techniques. Qualifications
Minimum Education And Experience: Master’s degree in psychology, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, clinical counseling or human services related field from an appropriately accredited educational institution. Necessary Special Qualification Requirements: Must hold an independent license to practice as a mental health clinical practitioner in North Carolina or have met the requirements to be licensed in North Carolina at the associate or provisional level as a mental health clinical practitioner.
