Key job responsibilities

Help support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with internal and external suppliers

Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers

Provide policy follow‑up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)

Track and report ATS/labor hours

Assist the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance

Ensure successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance

Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity

Fill in as needed with production duties

Fully understand workflow and daily production goals

Review and update SOPs as required

Assist in keeping work area clean and organized

Identify and address safety hazards within the work area

Coach associates to work safely at all times

Participate in safety initiatives

Refer all job injuries immediately to area manager

A day in the life Process Assistants perform production duties as needed: picking and packing orders, receiving and stowing product, ensuring inventory accuracy, and loading and unloading aircraft at or above the rate expectation for each task. Process Assistants will also be responsible for motivating others and keeping their work areas safe!

Basic Qualifications

High school or equivalent

Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $46,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $57,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
