The Space and Assortment Sr Analyst provides strategic planogram analytical support for Advantage clients and customers. This role requires expert knowledge of space management technology, data application, and the ability to develop best-in-class merchandising solutions to meet client objectives and retailer strategies. The candidate will own complex space planning projects, drive process improvements, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize space allocation and product assortment. Responsibilities
Own and manage complex space planning projects and recommendations to optimize space and assortment for clients. Apply data-driven insights and present analyses to influence decision-making and support business growth. Merge customer information with syndicated sales data to identify distribution opportunities across categories and ensure items are on shelf based on performance. Review planograms to meet retailer needs for on-shelf capacity and optimal flow. Deliver compelling presentations and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 3–5 years in a related field (Space Management required; JDA software experience preferred). Travel: Occasional travel may be required for store visits or sales meetings. Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to collaborate, communicate, and present to clients, customers, and internal leadership. Strong teamwork, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to influence through data-driven insights. Well-organized with high attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving mindset, quick learner, and ability to prioritize business requests. Experience with syndicated data and understanding of Category Management and Space Management principles; proficiency in space planning software; space automation or floor planning experience is a plus. Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
