Compensation $22.00/hr - $27.00/hr (based on experience)
Work Schedule Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, Flexible start time between 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM

Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Payment Poster to support high‑volume payment posting operations. This role is responsible for accurately applying payments, reviewing EOBs, and resolving discrepancies to ensure patient accounts and financial records are properly maintained. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a high‑volume, multi‑payer environment.
Key Responsibilities
Apply insurance, patient, and third‑party payments to patient accounts with a high level of accuracy
Post payments received via electronic files and manual sources, including checks, credit cards, lockbox, and EOBs
Balance daily deposits and ensure payments are applied correctly
Review and process contractual adjustments, refunds, and payment corrections
Research and resolve posting discrepancies and unapplied payments
Partner with internal billing and revenue cycle teams to address payment‑related questions
Maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines and internal policies
Assist with additional revenue cycle tasks as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in medical payment posting within a high‑volume environment
Experience posting payments across multiple states and payers preferred
Hands‑on experience with both manual and electronic cash posting
Strong knowledge of EOBs, adjustments, and payer remittances
Experience applying insurance, patient, and third‑party payments
Familiarity with medical billing systems such as Epic, NextGen PM, or similar platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills
Contract‑to‑hire opportunity with long‑term potential
